I thought the VN was so horrible I couldn't finish the Golden Witch arc. I decided I cannot play anymore around the part where they are in the guest house talking about Kinzou.

So far the only thing that has happened is really really painstakingly boring idle chatter between the family members, with excruciatingly slow introductions of every character. If this is the kind of thing that you are pissed Studio DEEN cut out, then I have no idea what the fuck is up with you people. The entire time I just wanted some shit to happen. Instead I got really bad background music to poorly written dialogue about fucking nothing.

So now every time I see shit like "Ohh, they cut ____ out of the anime" I am going to assume that it was stupid and pointless like the entire VN is thus far.. also, I am going to assume the anime is much better without the shitty music.

The plot in the anime is shit, and now I'll assume that it seriously was the actual plot of the VN OR maybe that the VN is just so long-winded that making a real adaptation is impossible without cutting out huge chunks [probably both].

Also, I love how people keep pointing out that Studio DEEN makes "animation errors" and that in general, the faces the characters make in the anime are "wat".... when the VN has the worst art I have ever seen so popular in my entire life.

It was supposed to be a story about a guy trapped in a virtual reality world, but the anime never even mentioned it WAS a virtual reality world. He's just wandering through a museum one day and BAM he's in the Edo period. They literally removed half of the plot, as well as anything that remotely foreshadowed future events.
