Bakemonogatari does NOT have a bad reputation on /a/. Let me repeat, it does NOT have a bad reputation. Look at all the reviews, ratings, sales, whatever quantitative metric you care to look at. The only thing that has a bad reputation is "gorespammer" spammer continuing to spam
Actually, lemme give you some background.
I hang out in the /a/ MSN chat. It's not a commonly known place, but it's existed for a couple months now. One of the frequent residents is the troll tripfag, Namimi, Namomo, Hitagi Senjougahara, I assume he has more aliases but those are the main ones.
Anyway, he declared at some point that he wanted to ruin Bakemonogatari for /a/. So he met with another member of the chat, and together they made every attempt possible to spam the series with as much overhype as they possibly could.
It was over the top.
It was unbelievable
And you fags fell for it.
Well, that's the thing. You fags just played right along. This is how it worked:
2 or so massive fags started spamming and trolling.
Next, a few dozen insufferable fags saw the opportunity, and contributed to the spam and trolls.
Next, several retarded fags took the trolls seriously and formulated counterarguments to their troll hype, such as "slideshow" and "Twilight."
Lastly, the absolutely retarded fags started paying attention to the counterarguments, and a bunch of bullshit that isn't true got spread about the show, and before long, saying anything good about the show resulted in an assault of greentext, not even from the original trolls.
And now people probably completely irrationally hate SHAFT for it, which will ruin any future releases of Zetsubou Sensei or Pani Poni Dash, if those are to come at all.”
